4. Local Data Storage

All scripts, settings, and content that you create within Unscripted are stored exclusively on your device, in local storage managed by your operating system. This data never leaves your device through the App. You retain full control over this locally stored content, and you may delete it at any time by removing it from within the App or by uninstalling the App.

Because this data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to or accessed by the Developer, it does not constitute “collection” or “processing” of personal data under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or any other applicable privacy law.

5. Third-Party Services

Unscripted does not integrate with, link to, or use any third‑party services, software development kits (SDKs), analytics platforms, advertising networks, social media plugins, or cloud services. No data is shared with any third party through the use of the App.

6. European Data Protection (GDPR & UK GDPR)

6.1 Data Controller

For the purposes of the GDPR and UK GDPR, the Developer is identified as the data controller. However, since no personal data is collected or processed by the App, the obligations typically associated with data controllers (such as maintaining records of processing activities, appointing a Data Protection Officer, or conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments) do not apply.

6.2 Legal Basis for Processing

Since the App does not collect or process any personal data, there is no legal basis for processing to disclose.

As an independent developer who does not meet the CCPA/CPRA revenue, data volume, or data‑revenue thresholds, and who collects no personal information, the CCPA/CPRA does not impose direct obligations on the Developer. Nonetheless, this policy is provided for transparency and to inform California consumers of their rights.

7.2 Categories of Personal Information

Unscripted has not collected, sold, shared, or disclosed any categories of personal information or sensitive personal information in the preceding 12 months, nor does it intend to do so.

7.3 Your Rights Under the CCPA/CPRA

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non‑discrimination for exercising these rights. Since no personal information is collected by Unscripted, these rights are fully preserved by default.

Unscripted does not sell, share, or disclose personal information to any third party for any purpose, including cross‑context behavioral advertising.

8. Other Applicable United States Privacy Laws

Various states have enacted or are enacting comprehensive privacy legislation (including but not limited to Virginia’s VCDPA, Colorado’s CPA, Connecticut’s CTDPA, Utah’s UCPA, and others). Since Unscripted collects no personal data, the App’s practices are consistent with the requirements of these laws. No consumer data is collected, sold, shared, or processed.

9. Children’s Privacy

Unscripted does not collect personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). The App is compliant with the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Article 8 of the GDPR regarding conditions applicable to a child’s consent, as no data of any kind is collected.

10. Data Security

Because Unscripted does not collect, transmit, or store any data on external servers, there is no risk of a data breach from the App itself. All content created in the App remains on your device and is subject to the security measures of your device’s operating system. No data is retained by the Developer or by any server or service on behalf of the Developer. Any content you create within the App exists solely on your device for as long as you choose to keep it.
